this year's 100 Day Project starts tomorrow, February 22

Tomorrow the 100 Day Project starts, and I'll be doing it for the 5th time. I’ve decided that my focus will be 100 Days of Doodling with Color and I have “prepared” some 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches pieces of mixed media paper. On each one I have added an area of color, painted with acrylic paint. My plan is to choose, each day, a piece of paper with a shape/color that inspires me to add doodling. I am trying to keep

the parameters a little focused (paper size, acrylic for color, and ink for doodling), but also to keep some flexibility built in.

I haven’t prepared all 100 pieces of paper, so that I can make more that feel especially inspiring according to the day/mood/place ... and I may decide to add more color to some of them. I think that it will work! I will share each day for the first 4 days, and then I’ll share my work only every 4 days after that.

I'll be using the hashtag #100daysofdoodlingwithcolor. Follow me if you'd like to follow along. Or come leave feedback or send suggestions if you like. I'm really looking forward to my quiet doodling sessions each day.
Last year I did 100 Days of Doodling with Collage (you can see the hashtag on Instagram
HERE). For 2024 I made 1oo Days of Tiny Scrap Collages (see HERE). In 2023 I focused on 100 Days of Collage on Postcards (see HERE), and in 2022 I had fun crossing the U.S. in a car with my husband nad our dog, making 100 Days of Paper Quilts along the way (see HERE).

I’m in on the 100 Day Project and I look forward to seeing your posts! I will be drawing one thing a day - with just a sketchbook and pen.
